So, you read my first post about Facebook Page Growth and now you’re juggling all the things and trying to figure out ‘how to do it all’ without sacrificing other tasks that need doing.
I’m not going to lie, revenue-generating tasks should take priority over growing your Facebook Page.
YES, growing your Facebook page will ultimately grow your bottom line, financially, but for now, it’s not. So don’t miss out on paying gigs because you spent your entire day on Facebook.
1. USE THE APP
If you use your smartphone half as much as I do, you already know and use these apps, but I can’t recommend them highly enough. They keep me more productive on the go as each app has a specific purpose.
The Facebook App
For trolling your personal feed and saving interesting content for later.
The Pages App
For managing your Page(s).
The Groups App
If you’re using Facebook Groups for your business, this one is priceless.
The Messenger App
If you use Facebook to communicate with colleagues or contacts, this one is also very important for quick business.
2. USE KILL NEWSFEED
Kill Newsfeed is a Chrome Extension that keeps your Facebook News Feed from appearing when you open Facebook on your computer. This tool has kept me focused when I open Facebook to update my Pages, it keeps me from trolling my feed or getting overly distracted. Check out my post about Chrome Extensions on how to install and use this amazing hack.
3. ADD YOUR PAGE TO YOUR SHORTCUTS
Add your Facebook Page to your Shortcuts, so that it’s always right there on the left-hand side of your feed, easy for you to click on.
Go to your Page, and on the “…” button along the top underneath your cover image, select Pin to Shortcuts:
Now it will appear in your Facebook Home / Newsfeed always, under Shortcuts:
4. SHARE TRENDING POSTS DIRECTLY TO YOUR PAGE ON THE GO
If you’re using Kill Newsfeed, as I recommended above, you’ll have to open an incognito window to see your newsfeed and trending topics.
Find Trending topics (or anything in your feed for that matter) that you want to share. Click Share.
Select from the dropdown where you want to share the post to. Select Share on a Page you manage to share to your Page:
Select your page from the list (if you manage more than one):
Add a comment and Publish your post to your page!
5. MAKE SURE PAGES YOU LIKE ARE SHARING CONTENT YOU WOULD WANT TO SHARE
Go to your personal feed, on the left side, you can view the pages you like by clicking Pages. Here you will see all the Pages you currently Like. I like to ensure that the Pages I like are ones complementary to content I would like to share so the next step is quicker for me.
Now select Pages Feed from your left pane and a new newsfeed displaying only content from Pages you like will appear. Here you can quickly and easily share content to your page as shown above!
6. SAVE VIRAL STUFF FOR LATER
When you’re scrolling Facebook be sure to ‘Save Link’ when you see something your Page may also enjoy. I especially love baby jokes, videos, and memes for keeping people on my Page, but my fans are moms and that’s my demographic and content theme.
Then when you’re sitting down to schedule out your day or week’s posts next time, you can use several or all of your Saved Links easily by going to your personal feed and clicking Saved on the left side of your feed.
I hope you’ll employ at least one of these time-saving hacks.
