If you’ve been following along this past month here, you will have …
- Set up Google G Suite
- Set up your Google My Business listing
- Leveraged your My Business Listing fully
Now it’s time to get serious about leveraging these tools to be more productive.
USE CHROME EXTENSIONS
Extensions are tools to use on Chrome to speed up certain tasks. Things like pinning on Pinterest, checking your Google Analytics and more. Simply put, they are shortcuts to productivity. In my post here, you will learn how to install and use my favourite Chrome Extensions. Go Do It! Plus, I discovered a few more recently, below!
CREATE A SALES FUNNEL EASILY
Streak is a chrome extension that tracks your Gmail emails and makes it easy for you to see who (and how often) your email gets opened. You can also create sales funnel systems right within your Gmail!
RE-USE THE SAME WORDING OVER AND OVER
Let’s say you often get client inquiries for the same information. You tend to personalize the introduction of your response, but then you have a boxed reply with your rates, statistics of some kind or some other wording. Yes, you may have an attachment with more information, however, I find it quicker for the reader to also include the information directly in the email so they don’t have to save or open an attachment.
You can use the Auto Text Expander extension to create a formula. For example, I often include our statistics when replying to a potential advertiser over at Modern Mama. Up until this week, I’ve been copying and pasting this info from a draft email. Yesterday, I created an entry in Auto Text Expander that whenever I type sales# in an email, it automatically changes that to this:
More about Modern Mama:Subscribers 5,000+Pageviews 10k+Facebook 9,600+Instagram 6,300+Twitter 15,000+
So now I don’t have to go to my drafts folder, copy this text and paste it into the email I’m currently composing. GENIUS!
You could use this for anything. Your name, different salutations, anything you type/say on a regular basis, in Gmail.
USE THE GOOGLE ADMIN APP
If you’re using G-Suite (learn how here, I recommend it highly!), the Google Admin app for your mobile device allows you to manage users and their email from within your team right on your phone. Quick to reset passwords, add new users or make changes without having to leave the couch. Snap! It’s simply called Google Admin in the app store.
There you have it. 5 quick productivity hacks to get you doing more of what you love instead of more time-consuming tasks that don’t earn you your bottom dollar!
